Should YA! have an uncensored section where we can ask anything we want without fear of violation?

Of course they should. The whole thing would of course depend on people's ability to understand a simple premise..

Don't like a question...............don't read it or answer it. Move on.

Ya think that can happen here..

    Sigh.

I'm new around here, so forgive me if I'm doing it wrong but so far I thumbs down any comment I find offensive or gut-wrenchingly stupid, thumbs up anything I find funny, and have reported questions or comments on a few occassions but only then because they were outrightly racist. Obviously I'm all for free-speech, and people can have opinions on other people and things that others may not agree with, but inciting racial hatred just gets my back up, and I think the comments I have reported were not justifiable in any sense. I agree that there seems to be a lot of people who abuse the system to attempt to make sure only their opinions are the ones shown, but if the violation system was monitored more closely this would not be so easily accomplished. I get the impression that the minute a question/comment is reported, it is removed with no "higher power" overseeing this process. If the "trolls" (look at me all 'down' with the 'lingo') were identified and their power taken away maybe an infringement on free speech would not be an issue.

Great idea. It would have to be presented in a password only format with a subscription with proof of age. This would weed out all the people who censor every little "offense" that would normally cause a violation. There was a game that I played about 10 years ago called "Acromania" with such a format. While I'm here can anyone tell me if that game is still available online? I had a lot of fun with it, some of the acronyms created were absolutely killer hilarious.

Y!A should remove the report button so we can ask without fear of violation. Until they do that, NO section is safe.

That's a nice thought. I got a violation for answering a question saying that was a good question. Good grief! I mean how petty have people become?

I asked whatever i want without fear of violation.

the administrators can remove whatever they want without fear of reprieve too.

In essence, you can ask whatever you want; it will just be taken down.

besides, a truly non censored forum is for lunatic questions. they're more likely than not going to be out of this world silly.

alot of racial and personal questions are asked and answered without violation here.

A friend of mine through here has made this thing on Multiply and he used to do the question of the day on here. It's nice now because through this, he still does it and we also pose questions. It's the best that can be done. Email me and I'll tell you more if you are interested. It's actually pretty fun.

Yes, that would save alot of good people being constantly suspended.

Like BennBJ said, if you don't like a question, don't answer it and just keep on moving...

Sure, as long as every 1 is of a legal age
