Women's Shoes/Flip-flops?
This is a serious question.
I have always wondered why women wear open shoes, sandals and flip-flops even when it is freezing, snowing or otherwise completely impractical, and still complain that it's cold. For example, I was at the Denver, Colorado airport last week, it was 33 degrees outside and I was amazed at the number of women that were wearing sandals or flip-flops. Just out of bored curiosity I started looking for Men wearing the same, roughly 1 for every 30 or so women.
I'm baffled....
Even though I was at the airport, and yes, you do need to take your shoes off, the same phenomenon of women (not just young women either) wearing flip flops was clearly apparent everywhere. Is the fact that they are "Cute" really that important?
Please do not deflect the question by pointing out Men's "Fashion", especially young men wearing their pants 10 sizes too big and down around their butts.... That's another question....

sometimes it's the area your in. I went to college in vermont for 4 years and my roommate who was born and raised in vermont wore sandals if it was 30 up and there was no snow on the ground. I thought she was nuts but she said she was used to it . She also doesn't like things on her feet, in the dorm she would always be barefoot. It's just the way she is. Open toed shoes (like high heels) are more for fashion. High heels in general aren't very comfortable (in my opinion anyway) As for girls wearing sandals/flip-flops in 30 degree weather and complain? They are the ones that just like to hear themselves talk and think it's the 'cool' thing to wear sandals/flip-flops

Usually, I would agree. It's stupid to wear flip-flops when there's snow on the ground. But every once in a while, women have to wear more formal shoes for certain occasions, and sometimes girls don't have too many pairs of shoes that are close-toed and fancy, so they choose nicer sandals instead.
And if you think men don't wear impractical clothing, I'd ask you to visit a college campus. Guys there wear flip-flops in winter, sweatshirts in the middle of snowstorms, and never carry an unbrella.

yeah.. just easy and we're kinda lazy. Plus, you were at the airport and they make you take off your shoes now, so why not just flip them off.

flip flops in the cold? they are probally stupid. With perhaps... open toed heels... they may just be suffering for fashion.
