should snitching be a bad thing?

I hate the word "snitch" because it seems to have a very negative connotation. Many people seem to think you are a bad person for telling on some one. I think it is time that if a person sees a crime or knows of a crime he should be respected for coming forth with what ever information he has. If

that person wishes to remain anonomous that is also okay. If authorities have the leads, they can then gather the hard evidence. This would be most helpful in identifing gang violence, especially in schools.

    IMO not a bad thing

key is to be a "down low" snitch, lol!!

think it's a good thing if it will eliminate the bad guys and make life better for those who are law abiding.

    drop a dime on them

don't do the crime if you can't do the time

If you see a crime, you have a choice: stay silent, and support the person who chose to commit the crime, or speak up on behalf of the innocent victim.

My loyalty is with the victim.

Besides, if criminals aren't stopped, they get worse and worse.

You have a right to protect yourself and protect the innocent. You have a right to "snitch". Don't let anyone tell you it's your duty to cover up for someone else's crime.

There is absolutely no feeling in the world worse than having a trusted friend completely sell you out. It's worse than finding out a friend died.
