Which country sent their criminals to America by shiploads?

It was the British. They are the ones that started the penal colonies in the America's. The Cubans only had the Muriel Boat lift. The British sent thousand of prisoners here. And yes, they are the ancestors of many of us and they were for the most part productive citizens.

Australia became a penal colony after the U.S. became an independent country and left England with the choice of either keeping it's cons or finding somewhere else to send them.

Obviously the cons have done okay Down Under too.

The main country, that was used as a penal colony was Australia, originally criminals were sent there as punishment by England. There has been instances in the past, where criminals have been sent to the U. S., England sent prisoners here, in the beginning of our country. I would say, that some of them may have helped defend our country. There are other countries that may have sent their (undesirables from time to time)

You don't have to worry because America is over run with criminals and they've been running the country for years since its existence. And yes its a great criminal country. The best and biggest criminal country in the world.

It even has great war criminals like Bush.
