I see on the news that medicines are in our water?

Traces of medicines have been found in our drinking water in many parts of Ontario. This is caused by people dumping medications down the drains. Some of them are used forcolestoral, blood pressure, etc.does this mean that future generations will be healthier??This has been going on for years!!

I think it more likely mean future generations will be toxic. We need to start living greener.

I have seen similar articles in the States. Many of the medications they have been finding there are in very small, trace amounts. It has been said that they have found hormones such as Birth Control Pills as well as others. The thought of how these got there is not simple as being dumped. Well maybe it is.. Many of these medications travel through kidney into the urine and are so small they can not be filtered at water treatment plants that aim to cleanse the water. The current thought is that the amounts are so low they are of little to no impact but who knows maybe in a few years the quantities reach higher levels.

i don't think it would make them any healthier but if the dose was high enough for a long period of time people might build up a tolerance to many medications.
