Can I ask a special favor...prayers for me and my unborn child?

For those who are in my contact list that might see this message, or who just would like to offer their prayers, please remember me and my baby today. I've been in labor since Easter Sunday night and it's now Tuesday morning and still baby has not made an appearance. It's very exhausting, but I know it's all worth it. We come home for rest every once in a while and then have to go back to the birth center for more checking and monitoring.

God bless you all and thank you so much.

It would be an honor to pray for you and your precious little one.

Father, we lift up this young woman to You. We thank You that You see us in the womb and know when we will be born. Father, we thank You that You are watching this precious soul that is about to be born. Father God we thank You that You are overseeing the delivery of this baby and the mother and baby will be healthy and well. Father, help this lady with the pain of childbirth and give her a joy that surpasses all understanding! Let this child be one that grows to love You and bring You praise and honor! Bless these two precious souls with love and joy! Thank You that You are walking with them all the days of their lives!

We ask this in Jesus' name........amen!

May the Lord bless you both! Please let us know whether you had a boy or girl and keep us posted!

if she really is unfit to be a parent then it will be much easier to give your child your last name, but it's a lengthy process and your child's birth certificate will become a two maybe even a three page document. You can not force her to give the baby your last name, she could decide it's last name is poop and you couldn't change that. But if you are going to get custody, first since she isn't letting you onto the birth certificate you will need to file a petition to establish paternity. Once your paternity has been established you can begin to go through the process of getting custody. If you end up with sole custody then you will have the power and the rights to change your child's last name. If she really is unfit to be a parent then try to get custody, however if this is just a problem between you two think about your child, if you really care this much about your child then you shouldn't rip it away from it's mom. However you can still file your petition for paternity and once it's established get a court order for what's called reasonable visitation. You would get your child every other weekend and every other holiday basically. You however would not be able to change it's name. Perhaps if you try communicating with the mother more you could try a comprimise such as hyphenating both your last names, or like I did with my son I just gave him two last names with no hyphenation so that he can choose which he wants when he's older.

How precious! I am only sixteen and I have not been able to experience the blessing that God has given to you. I can only imagine all that you are going through... extreme pain, joy, fear, anticipation. Then, after days of waiting, you will finally be able to hold your beautiful baby in your arms. I pray to God that you and your baby will get through this. That the both of you will be healthy and strong. Your baby is so blessed to be given such a wonderful and loving mother as you. When you do give birth, your baby will love you instantly and you will become the most important person in his/her life. I know people say that they only love you until your teenagers and then they hate you. This is not true! I still love my mom with all of my heart. I still need her to take care of me, comfort me, and guide me. She is still the most important person in my life. So, remember that your baby will always love you and will forever more be your little baby. No matter how old, or how many times you disagree, or fight. Your baby will never stop loving you. We can pray together!

    Heavenly father,

First and foremost we want to thank you for blessing this wonderful woman with a beautiful baby. If it is your will, please pour out your blessings on her and her unborn baby so that they will come out of this healthy and strong. Please help the mother through this long labor so that it will end soon and so that she will not feel much pain. Please bless this family for years and years to come and give them healthy, happy, and long lives so that they may live in your way. Lord we love you and trust you with all of our heart.

    In you name we pray,

    Amen

    I wish you the best!

I admire your detmination and resolve! Having finally given birth myself, I simply don't think I could hold out that long. Very best of luck to you, and prayers that you'll get to meet your new little one very soon.
