Sinister is latin for left and right is right is correct. Also your right hand and foot is stronger and more co ordinated than your left hand. (lefties are in the monority) By analogy your your power is given to the right side of your body so Gods right hand is his stronger hand by analogy

The main point is that prophecy of Psalm 110:1 was fulfilled. Refer ACTS 2:33-35. Jesus sat down at the right hand of God means at the same level so that God gave power to rule and authority. Jesus will reign forever-all through the power of God.

traditionally the left hand is the 'sinister' side (from the Latin sinister for left and Dexter for right hence our word dexterous) so the left side would be the side of the devil or evil. which the good will balance out theevil.
