It's a bored wives' tale made up as an excuse for lousy skin by women who sat in the house all day listening to the radio or watching early Television.

No. You can have all the milk you want and eat a pile of fish at the same time. Your skin loses pigment for entirely different reasons. People must have made this up because either the fish or the milk gave them a stomach ache.
We were told that swallowing gum would mess up or insides and that apple seeds would grow in our stomachs. Haven't had any apple blossoms in there yet. LOL
