Have you ever experienced a moment in time called the Now?
If so, can you describe in as much detail as possible what it was like?
What steps did you take that led you there?
If you have not experienced this, what is your understanding of being in the Now & how does it differ from being awake or present?
Thank you for taking the time to answer & Blessings to all!

I am a small insignificant being that was granted, through grace, the privilege to observe a being that was living constantly in the moment. This beings life was functioning in a constant "Remembrance of God". This brief observation I will cherish throughout this short lifetime.
Only if one is allowed to observe a human being in this rare state, can they envision what you have described as the "Now". It is a state that never changes. It is ever constant. It is a state of man serving man. The thought of I, me, mine, you, yours, and theirs, will have disappeared. Only the Truth will remain. It is a state of refinement. In this state one can only "Give". One in this state requires nothing, and asks for nothing.
This is my only experience concerning the "State of Now".
"Peace be always with you."

I am only here now, if I fill up the now with projections into the past or future or just as bad see the now through the conditioning I am lost in the now in the mind, I must pay attention to my body and surroundings to fully be where I am. To be fully awake in the present I will need more energy in the now, this is done through loving.

I have only ever experienced "now" and the content of the experience other than that is always different. It takes no steps, it is inevitable. Anyone acting as if there were more to the experience than this is probably trying to sell something.

I have a few times. It happens when you simply stop. Stop everything and do nothing. Sounds simple, but it is actually hard for two reasons: being still has become abnormal, especially in todays fast paced society, and secondly, I think most people are uncomfortable with doing this because it is both foreign to them and because it isn't what they were taught from a religious/spiritual perspective. Practice makes perfect though.

Been there, love the place but I can't seem to stay for very long. Sadly I only seem to get fleeting glimpses of now. I would love to spend more time here but I don't even seem to notice when I slip into the mental imagery of past future thinking.
Any and all suggestions would be appreciated.

there is only now. anyone who is not aware of it is ignorant. you have pnly the present moment. you are always now. past has gone, future is... now!
we all experience the now constantly. only we are not aware of it, because we hang around in mind ideas about past and future so much. therefore we miss the now.
but really, breath is always going on in the now, heartbeat is going on in the now, the mirror only shows you how you look NOW.
there is no step to make into the now, for you are already and eternally now.
when you stop thinking for a second, and simply look around you, feel the heartbeat, listen to the birds, feel the breeze, then you are aware of the now.
noone can teach you how to be in the present moment, for you always are only in the present moment... and sometimes people are needed to remind us...
love to you! now.

Every single second of my life passes into an eternity of moments. Right Now is all we have. The past is a nightmare and the future a dream.

If you can just freeze your mind, into a predestination playground that you witness that is not you, and imagine everything around you in animation that you helped create and that it is all programmed to continue just the way it is, without your intervention. Then add yourself to the picture and imagine you are outside of yourself watching the whole show and that you too are choreographed and animated.
Surreal isn't it? When you realize ....the NOW!

The Tao that can be described is not the Tao. So, I could *try* to describe my experiences of living in Now, but they wouldn't capture it. All words fail, perhaps closest would be Sanshin, the flow. There is no mind when this occurs.

:) Thank you for a great question. It was quite a quest to get to the "Now". Life was full of pressure and anxiety till "Now" appeared and showed all the Love i ever wanted. To get to know I had to finally listen, no i meant LISTEN. Listen when to learn and when to avoid. Now is endless, its all that i ever wanted. Like you, I want to share this NOW. Good to a see a mirror finally. Peace, blessings and Love to you!
