When do evap lines on hpt's show up?

If it showed up after 2 minutes then I would definetely say it was a positive. I have had evap. lines show up after 15 mins, but they are like a colourless, grey shadow.

If the line is coloured then def. positive!!

I don't want to rain on your parade or anything here but a line certainly does not mean you are pregnant.

I have been ttc #3 for 3 years now and have plenty of evap lines show up within the first couple of minutes. I was so surprised to see how common they actually are.

The best thing to do would be to get a blood test to confirm. Alternatively try another brand and take the test first thing in the morning as this is when HCG is most concentrated in your urine and you will have a better chance of something positive showing up.

Yeh its a positive result it doesnt matter how dark the line actually is but I would maybe retest again in a couple of days to make sure that the line gets darker and then go to the doctors with your brill news. You should never read a test after 10 minutes so you shouldnt worry about the results being innaccurate. Well Done!!!

looks like u have jusssst enough hcg levels to show a faint line...depends on the test u took...

if u want to be sure, try testing with the cheap brand tests like equate or a dollar store test...and test in about two days bcuz the hormone levels double up every other day...so use ur first morning urine and u should get a faint line but it would be a little darker..and darker in the next two days get me? and if anything just sched. to take a blood test, those are most accurate by now ...usually they are free at planned parenthood locations at most they will cost 25-35 dollars so good luck!

Congrats sounds like ++++ to me! Especially a faint + within 2 mins, if it came up in the time frame of usually 3-5 mins then its POS no matter how faint the line is. Yipppeee.

Read the instructions that came with the test. Usually, you aren't supposed to read for 3-5 minutes. After 10 minutes, the test should be thrown away.

If a faint line showed up within two minutes, you can consider that a positive test.

anything beyond that point (past ten minutes) can be considered invalid.
