Why is Obama afraid of a re vote in Michigan and Florida? He knows he will lose?

He is the "one" stopping a re-vote no one else

Update:

He took his name off the ballot in Michigan I live here. He thought it wouldn't count so why bother.

Update 2:

In Florida it was the actions of the Republican party that moved the date. Why should all of these peoples votes NOT count We the people did not cause the problem?

Update 3:

So I guess the obama is not the "uniter" he claims along with all that crap about a new kind of politics!

He will lose and then can't have an excuse why he lost like purposely taking his name of the ballot.Hillary would have even more undisputed proof that Obama can't win most of the blue and purple states. You need the big states to win.In November it's based on the electoral college.Their won't be any caucuses where only College kids show up because they can.Every body is going to show up and vote.

You are a victim of the "Clinton's Misinformation Machine".

Senator Obama as been saying from the beginning that he did follow the rules and he will obey whatever the Democratic National Committee decide to do with the mess the two Governors from Michigan and Florida created by moving the dates of the primaries.

In regards to Florida, take into consideration a simple fact that slightly over 1.4 million democratic voters in Florida cast a vote and over 2.6 MILLION FAILED TO VOTE BECAUSE THEY WERE TOLD THEIR VOTE WOULD NOT COUNT. (State party officials state there are 4.1 million registered democratic voters) There is no way it can be said that the existing vote accurately reflects the voters voice when that many did not vote.

You are really blaming the wrong person.

It was the legislature and governors of those two states that knowingly violated the rules. In Florida, where the Republicans control both the legislature and the governor's office, they are trying to say "the Republicans did it to us." That's bunk because they voted unanimously in the Florida House for the change. That means that all of the Democrats in the House voted for the change, too. They did it to themselves. (Michigan is without excuse. They have a Democratic governor.)

They created this INEXCUSABLE MESS. Then they wanted to replace it with another inexcusable mess that would probably have been tied up in the courts for a long time if they moved forward with it.

You should not BLAME Obama. You should THANK HIM for preventing an even bigger mess by their flawed re-vote.

Sure, the voices of Michigan and Florida should be heard. The question is: do you want a messy, flawed, and undemocratic process whose results will still be inconclusive due to the legal challenges to be the method?

JOYCE, haven't you been paying attention? Obama has adhered to the rules. It is the delegates of MI and FL that you have a problem with. He is not required to do anything because he's done nothing wrong.

You're carrying on the Shrillary babble because she's desperate for votes as she will lose the nomination and she would have lost anyway had the MI and FL votes been seated.

The DNC has rules, delegates violated the rules, so how does this make Obama responsible for anything? Are you a teenager who is naive, or are you only getting part of the "full" story.

You do a search on CNN.com for more information and stop blaming Obama for something he didn't do. He hasn't violated any rules and certainly wasn't born yesterday. Your beef is with the delegates of those two states who screwed things up royally. Don't pass around slander and gossip like this ever again.

Obama has agreed to seat the Fl and Mi delegates if Hilary will agree to give him half of the votes and delegates even though he didn't win anything Why would she do that its stupid

Clinton won both states so she should get their vote and delegates period

Obama is just lying again about not allowing these state to have their votes counted.

But if Obama is the nominee he will lose to McCain

Us true Democrats will see to it that Obama loses to McCain

We will vote Republican for McCain Plain and Simple

    Obama is toast

    NObama Presidency

    Obama gotta go

    Obama gotta go

    Bye Bye Obama.

What they agreed to was that they would not campaign in either state and they didn't. Besides who the hell is the DNC to tell voters that their votes won't count because they are pissed that the elections were moved up, I would think they would be more concerned about making all their supporters votes count instead of their stubbornness that is going to hurt them. And yes this is why he does not want it, you can bet if the shoe was on the other foot he would go for it.

Wow that's so far not true it's scary. A revote would cost 50 million. Where is that money coming from? Also, many dems voted already in republican primaries because they wanted to vote for somebody.

The numbers say he would kick her butt in Michigan and probably lose florida. So the delegates get split anyways.

If those states had simply followed the rules, we wouldn't have this problem. But imagine that, Florida can't figure out how to vote.

Your state is stupid. If you had simply followed the rules Michigan would have counted a great deal.

He would not just lose in Florida, he would lose big, and he knows it.

Michigan would not be as bad, although he would lose a couple points in the delegate race there too, but Florida might put Clinton in the lead, so why wouldn't he be scared?

Him and Hillary agreed to the rules before the contests started....Hillary only started pushing for re-votes after she won the contests...she has no credibility...had she made an issue of this prior to the states voting, she might have a leg to stand on. I love you people that support Hillary doing anything to win, but criticize Obama when he does the same thing.

yes- he will gain less delegates than Hillary therefore reducing the margin of his lead. If he loses for some strange reason would you vote for Hillary or McCain?
