Malibu interior?
what was GM thinking when designing the interior of the new Malibu?? It's a nice-looking car on the outside, and the interior layout is also nice...but that two-tone color scheme is hideous. If you want to get an LTZ with leather interior they give you only two choices!!! Why can't they have solid colors as an option?? My dad looked at one the other day, and when he found this out he said "no thanks". I wonder how many other people walked out because of the ugly interior?? What do you think?
To each his own Robert.

I have seen the same thing and a solid color would in my opinion as well have been a better option................

I agree completely; the two tone is obnoxious. You get inside that car and your eyes just don't know where to land, it's too busy and distracting. Though some people (mainly sports-car type guys) like it, they say it gives the car a more sporty appearance.
Your best bet is to see your dealer and go with an LT2 with the extra options you like; if the dealer does not have it, they can search nearby dealers and DT (dealer trade) for it. Unfortunately, there are still not a heavy saturation of Malibus on dealer lots, so you may have to special-order the one you like.
A lot of people don't realize this; but you CAN purchase a vehicle with cloth seats, and have the dealer swap the seats out for leather ones. It's an extra cost, but overall less expensive than getting the leather pre-installed at the factory. Plus, the factory-installed seats are leather-appointed, and often the ones the dealer can put in are full leather and much nicer.

I found the LTZ to be unattractive also but purchased an 2LT with leather/suede seats in all black. The rest of the interior is made of high-quality products and it is an excellent car with the 6 speed transmission and 252 hp V-6. I also have the 18 inch wheels. It is a very nice car.
