What would you spend £13b of tax payers money on?

The RAF need new aircraft, but should this be a priority?

Yes. If you can't defend your waters and airspace you're knackered - just ask Saddam Hussein.

Having recently seen a doc about Tomahawk cruise missiles I agree with Maya above - the latest fighter jets are believed to be possibly the last that will require in-flight human pilots. After that they'll be controlled by "a crew of 4 people sat in an air-conditioned room in Las Vegas".

    Simply put.

Old age pensioners, give them all central heating and more money to pay their bills, and give them a decent pension.

NHS, more money into our hospitals. Save money by sacking all the nobs at the top. they know nothing about nursing, just think they know what is best for a ward, give their money to the nurses for a payrise. use some of the billions to open more intensive care baby units. Pay for more midwives. Put money into researching all the new diseases we have today, mrsa, mssa c dif. More palative care.

Build more prisons so they have no excuses not to jail paedos.

Use it to build better roads in some areas. this will take down the amount of accidents in some roads which have a high mortality rate.

Put some into schools. More teachers for smaller classes. After school clubs in all schhool for those kids who have to go home to an empty house when their parents are out working. This for a small fee from the parents. some schools have them but not them all.

    Think thats it...lol

I can understand the need for new aircraft technologies, but I really think the money could be put to much better use IE education hospitals Policing etc the list is long and varied.

im not sure i dont think one aircraft will help too much but id certaintly help them out in some way id help the hospitals areas like midwives even if its 13 grand to get more people trained who are from the uk so people have a better chance of not being turned away when they get to hospital

New aircraft wouldn't be my 1st priority but if we want our guys in warzones then we have to give them the equipment to do the job.I definately wouldn't be spending it on opera houses and art galleries

The future of fighter aircraft is unmanned craft that fly faster and more accurately than any human pilot can. And a lot cheaper than the old flying coffins.

It will create jobs and it is great for British Industry. Maybe some of the idle benefits people can then start work.
