When do you know it's time to start looking for a new career?

I'm starting to feel like the career choice I have made is not working out for me, what should I do ?

1: research all the aspects of your career. Define what you like about your career, and see if there are jobs with more of the stuff you like.

2: If that fails, look for a related career that requires minimal re-training.

3: If THAT yeilds nothing, then you're probably headed back to school to learn some new skills. If you work for a big corporation and can at least put up with your current job for a while, they may be willing to re-train you, or send you to school to qualify for another position in the company.

It might be a good idea to call a job counselor-they can help steer you down a path you'll enjoy.

When you're being replaced by machines or when you'd rather do something else. Back to school.
