You can appeal, but like was said ^, you need to show that it was incorrect to give you what you had. If it's another service RE code & you're trying to come in the Army (national guard anyway, don't know how it works for reg Army), then there's a chance we can waiver it. RE-3s are doable for the most part, a few RE-4 are possible, both assuming they didn't come from the Army, dependent on the circumstance, a real good waiver packet, and a recruiter that's willing to do all that for you knowing how low the odds are. Then you wait, several months usually. If you can get back in like that, then you'll get a chance at a new clean discharge after your contract ends.

i assume you have an RE code 4 and you want to get it changed to either re-up or claim some sort of benefit? changing your RE code is impossible. unless you can prove that the army gave you the code illegally or against regulations you have what ya have.
