How do you tell if someone is a true witch?

That is just supersticious "facts" which really aren't facts at all. A witch is a person who does witchcraft, which is NOT anything related to Satan or the devil because witches don't believe in the devil. Witchcraft is the practice of bending the energies of the elements and nature to work for the benefit of the good.

Once again fiction and fairy tales prevail. NO, mind control is not a power Witches posess. Some have psychic abilities, but cannot control another person's mind. And those kinds of abilites are not limited to Witches alone. EVERYONE has the ability to posess psychic abilities (as well as other abilities). Witches and the like just have more experience working with these abilities. All it takes is practice.

Try asking her. It's faster and more accurate.

Witchcraft is not hereditary. That is like saying what happened to your mother in high school is hereditary. Being a witch is a practice, not something genetic.

Facts: I am a witch. I have light blonde hair, no widows peak, a small nose, foretelling dreams, I'm not wearing a single piece of black clothing at the moment, I've never used an Ouija board, I practice witchcraft, I don't have any moles, I use oil, and I try to be nice.

As I tried to demonstrate, physical appearance does not make a witch. Witches look just the same as any other human.

The only way to tell if someone is a "true" witch is if they tell you so. None of the things you listed has even the slightest indication that a person is a witch. I am a "Trut" (real) witch and have been for 41years,

#2 smallish nose, not upturned

#3 Everyone has prophetic dreams, most just don't remember them

#4 I find Goth disgusting and immature

#5 a lot of people play with ouija boards, many of them Christian

#6 how do you know?

#7 99% of the pople I know have moles or scars (yes, I have several)

#8 Are you sure it is annointing oil and not must plain old body oil?

There are no common surnames for witches, and it rarely runs in families.

ok umm the only way you can tell if someone is a witch is by asking them. just because she has black hair and widows peek, and an upturned nose does not mean she is a witch there are no physcial caricteristics that make one a witch. I have red hair ( natraly brown ) and a pug nose, and I am a witch. there are some things though, you dont have to be a witch to have dreams that come true or use an ouijia board or be nice. and not all goths are witchs, not all witchs are gothic. and look around your church theres lots of women and men for that matter with moles, thats why they were uses in the past as indicaters of witch craft cause everyone had one so anyone could be acused and found guilty. and what do you care if she is a witch, she isnt hurting anyone would you be this suspisouse if you thought she was a buddist or a catholic, or a baptists as oposed to what ever branch of christianity you believe in. and even if she is what do you plan on doing burning her? thats murder and last I cheacked still iligal

The only way to tell is if a house lands on her after a tornado and you take her ruby slippers off and her feet roll up under the house, that's when you know she was a witch.

A Witch can be anyone. As for Real or True, what do mean by that. A Witch is a woman who uses herbs for healing as well as spells, she doesn't worship Satan, although some who do do "witchcraft in some form or other" and She is very attuned to nature. As for scars, moles Gothic... Those are all misnomers. The church wrote a book on how to tell if someone is a witch which I am afraid ended up helping to kill 90% of those who had nothing to do with witch craft and only a handful who did. It is a sterio type which is glorified by the holier-than-thou group of church goers who still believe that GOD said

How about a novel approach? Ask her if she's a witch, pagan or Wiccan? Then educate yourself about the religion and stop watching Charmed and listening to Bob Larson, both are false.

You might actually discover that Wiccans have a very beautiful religion. The fear and paranoia you're displaying comes from your more mainstream religions and beliefs in hell.

Seriously: You're a total loon. Please, get out more. Witchcraft has no fashion (goth) or physical characteristics (hair color, moles). It is a practice and/or a religion. If she used to practice witchcraft she was a witch. If she no longer identifies herself as such, she is not a witch. If she seems nice, perhaps she is and you are a rather negative, petty, closed minded to think otherwise.

As to running in families; every family had a root worker, cunning man/woman, healer, seer or well witch somewhere in their history. Yours is not unique. If you go far enough back we were all pagan as well so that connection is not unique. In the US, most of us can find some relation to the indigenous peoples. to tell if someone is a witch, you must see if she weighs the same as a duck, if she does, then she is made of wood (because ducks and wood both float) and if she is made of wood, she is a witch (because wood and witches both burn)

Well a true witch should be able to turn you into a toad or float stuff.

But people who are practicing wiccans are good people, and you shouldn't be afraid.
