Cool stuff to do in Dallas?

I will be in dallas next weekend for the Nascar race, and i've never been to dallas. A few things, I'm 34, not young, looking for cool bars, and good food in the city, and any recommendations for neat things to do while I'm their. Anything at all will would be a great help, thanks a bunch.

Dallas has more shopping per capita than any other city in the United States. So shopping is a must. There are tons of malls, stores, and boutiques in Dallas. The malls that I recommend to you are (in order of best to 4th Best): The Galleria (Dallas), Stonebriar Centre (Frisco), Northpark Mall (Dallas), and Grapevine Mills Mall (Grapevine). I also recommend all of the stage theaters and art galleries/museums. As far as historical sites, you must see the 6th Floor Museum, the Conspiracy Museum, and The Dallas Holocaust Museum. I might also suggest that you check out the Mustangs of Las Colinas and the Las Colinas Movie Studio (very interesting). The churches are absolutely beautiful in Dallas. I recommend that you buy this book: Dallas & Fort Worth: A Pictorial Celebration (ISBN: 9781402725616). You could also get an interlibrary loan on it if you didn't want to buy it. You can do that at your local library. Hope this Helps! God Bless!*

Go to the top of Reunion Tower and view the city of Dallas from up there, and take a camera.

Also, there is a rotating restaurant all the way to the top.

Go to Mesquite for some Rodeo action. One of the NASCAR drivers is going to be there I think over 4/4 weekend.

I would think Fort Worth would be a better idea since you will be in the middle of both Dallas and Fort Worth. I love the Stockyards near downtown Fort Worth. It is unusual to say the least and very casual. Tons of great places to see and eat. I moved here about 3 years ago and I get lost every time I go to Dallas. But, I love the Arts district and there are tons of awesome restaurants but it is kind of upscale. My favorite site to find food is opentable.com. Have fun!!!

The Nascar racetrack is just outside Fort Worth. 34 can be young, with the right attitude. Fort Worth has museums, restaurants, and good-looking women with brains, most of whom do not care for Nascar.

Fort Worth has world-class museums and world-class women. They couldn't care less about Nascar. They can show you the best of Fort Worth and Dallas. Ask for a native to show you the best places. Fort Worth has cool bars, old saloons and we keep secrets. You're not allowed to tell.
