The cost of swapping your engine and A/T for a different engine and M/T would cost way more then your 14 year old car is worth.

good look finding a Type-R motor for a low price. its eaiser to just buy a new integra its cheaper to. you can always do a conversion to it:

    LS or GS-R Tranny

    Transmission Linkages

    Transmission Mounts

    Clutch

    Flywheel

    Pressure Plate

    5 Speed Pedals

    Manual ECU

    Manual Gauge Cluster (optional)

    Shifter and Shift Boot

    Clutch/Slave Cylinders

    Clutch Reservoir

Matching Throttle Cable for the Pedal Set

    hydraulic lines

    Intermediate Shaft

    Upper transmission mount

join team-integra.net great site for integra owners, you can help with your project

i dont know the cost it would have to depend on the shop you go to have it done youd have to call around and ask

You should probably go ahead and buy a manual Integra, rather than working on converting it to a 5-speed. I drive an automatic 95 SE, and if I decide I want to get a 5-speed, there goes my car. Look up importatlanta.com or hondatech.com

I am about 95% sure it is the Idle air comtrol valve (IAC) causing this. 2 things to check. 1st check to see if your coolant is full. If it is not full it may cause the variable idle. (rev up to 1600 then back down to 700rpm). If the coolant is not low then you need to replace the idle air control valve. It is located on the backside of the intake manifold. Inbetween the fire wall and the engine. Removal consists of : disconnecting two 3/8 coolant hoses from the bottom side of the valve, and removing two ten mm bolts. Once removed installation is reverse. Be sure to add coolant as it will pour out once the lines are removed from the IAC valve. Also instead of replacing the IAC it may be possible to clean it out with carb spray. Clean out the part that has a mesh screen, not the part that has coolant in it. Those are a couple options. I wish you well and keep on asking.

It would cost less to sell your car and buy one with a manual transmission.

The ONLY way that wouldn't be true is if you did the swap yourself.

It isn't just a matter of swapping the entire engine and transaxle, you need to put in all the clutch hydraulics, and the clutch pedal as well. It is not a simple job.

you can't put a stick in an automatic without heavy mods and a new engine.

Your car isn't worth the trouble or money...

so buy a stick and learn how to drive one...
