    Usually in the parliamentary system the president has little power and is only a ceremonial role. A president may be used to greet visiting political leaders and world figures and sign in certain bills

    It is not unusual in Parliamentary Democracies for prime ministers to have more power than presidents. A nation's constitution can divide up the powers of government among elected officials in many different ways.
