  • Neighbor child obsessed with my daughter?

It seems our neighbors 10 yr old daughter is obsessed with our daughter! When its Friday she has her things packed and ready to stay the entire weekend. We do not like to permit our daughter to go to her house because we feel she is not being watched and her parents are very lenient when it comes to boys coming over and leaving them by themselves. I feel stressed because they get into the kitchen and make a mess trying to cook things , they sneak snacks / junk food and sodas all disappear not nit picking but it gets expensive and annoying. I feel like I am being rude to say "ok go away now" even on holidays this child will show up to play. When my daughter is not home she will check ever few hours for an update on when she will be back or how we can pick her up or if her parents can go get her from where she is. Whats worse is she will involve her parents even after telling her to her face she cannot spend the night her parents will text saying that "both" of them want to spend the night and if its ok. Am I being rude to try and create boundaries or maybe just selfish to want to spend my own quality time with my daughter without her friend constantly being around? I know they are best friends but is there any advise or has any other parent experienced this?

  • Neighbors child obsessed with my child?

I feel like my neighbors child is obsessed with coming over ALL the time. During the week as soon as school ends the door bell rings. Coming home from the store the bell rings. If we tell the child to go home because we need family time an hour later they will be checking in. If we tell them our child is grounded or sick for a few days the child checks every day several times a day to see if they can play again. We have spoken to there parents about it however they do not have set rules for there child and do pay attention to what she is doing as long as it does not bother them. As a side note I also feel when the child visits all rules go out the window they look for things and stuff to get into which my child does not normally do and knows better. We have attempted to explain these rules to both children however it seems to not matter over and over again going into the garage looking for things to play with and our personal office space. I do not see a harm in them hanging out, however Friday afternoon to Sunday night seems excessive politely we will insinuate the child go home and check in and the answer is always "no I am ok my parents know where I am" we will then insinuate the child leave because we need family time upon coming back the child usually be waiting in the drive way or show up a min after ringing the doorbell . Also the child came over christmas day from 9am to 9pm they only way they finally went home is when I insisted they leave. Can anyone relate to this?

  • My ex wants me back,, What??

After kicking me out, sleeping on a couch for 2 weeks, getting my own place buying my own furniture restarting my life she is encroaching by trying to come over constantly making explicit certain innuendos and promising to change. Three important details she scratched up my car when we split, called the police to have my property removed and we have a child together I feel like uses our child as reasons she needs to come over or see me. I just want to move on but maybe she does not because of the need for emotional attachment or just does not want to be alone? I don't want to string her along but I feel like telling her to go off would be like setting off a bomb...

  • If i am taking care of my child half the time would I still have to pay full child support?

It does not seem fair to me if we both make the same income that I would need to pay full child support to my x if my child is spending equal time between us.

  • Why does my tongue feel like its getting cut?

I had a tooth pulled in the back of my jaw 4 days ago. The dentist said all the tooth is gone yet i cant talk or chew without something scraping almost cutting the side of my toung? I think it may be jaw bone where the tooth was. Is this normal? Does it eventually stop and grow over or will the dentist need to drill it down?

  • How can I (automatically) kill power to the back of my car?

I am running power to the back of my car to a device that does not shut off by itself. Is there a switch that I can install that will kill the power on the cable running from the battery when I turn my car off?

  • Should a Husband and wife have separate bedrooms?

My fiancé has expressed that it would be nice to have separate bedrooms. I am a man who likes his space but it seems weird to sleep in a separate bedroom like a roommate or something. I am not against it but I am not for the idea ether. Is this a new trend in America or am I just being old fashoned? Perhaps soon it will be separate houses as well?

  • Why should there be help for the subprime crisis?

It seems to me most of the subprime crisis is driven by typical consumer greed "I have to have the bigger better thing" like getting a fancy car you cant afford. Why should tax dollars go to help them? Itsnt the truth of anything signed is that ultamitly the BUYER is responsible. I rent an apartment why should I have to pay for Joe shmoes big fat house becuase he cant read paperwork?
