Where is the remote-on lead found in most cars?

in most cars you don't have one (look for a blue wire or blue w/ a white stripe), you must use the wire for the power antenna. If that doesn't work you will need to find a wire (use a test light) that is hot only when the radio is turned on (sometimes the antenna wire stops sending power when the radio is switched from radio to CD) and not hot when the head unit is off

It always depends on the car. It could be blue/white. Could be red. Could be any color. The best thing would be to run a dedicated relay off the accessory wire.
