How long should you wait to drive after steam cleaning your car's engine?

On the way home, my car drove sluggishly and was not accelerating smoothly.

you can drive it immediately after cleaning it, if it's not running right you got something too wet and you need to drive it awhile to get things dried out and if things don't improve you will need to take it to a mechanic.

If you are having problems use WD40 in the distributor cap if equipped with a dist., also remove spark plug wires and spray some into the wires remove 1 wire at a time and replace after so as no to get wires crossed, if you can spray some on the plugs themselves. good luck.

you can drive it right away, if it will start. you must have water in the distributor. take a rag and wipe it out, then spray some wd-40 in the cap, it will displace the moisture.
