Tums, Zantac, and Maalox are three I've been told are okay. Of course always check with your personal doctor before taking anything.

Tums are great. I used to pop them all the time because I had KILLER heartburn. You can have up to 7 a day. No Rolaids or anything else though.

I take Tums -- it is high in calcium, so its good for the baby, and it also helps with the heartburn. I take several of them a day!

I do know that Zantac and Pepcid can be used during pregnancy for moderate to severe heartburn and those are over the counter medications. As far as stronger prescription medication, that is something your Ob/gyn would weigh considering your individual need and health history. They will find something to help.

Tums....it's just calcium. I was so paranoid about it though when I was pregnant I had to check with my doctor. And she said that was okay to take.

  • tums Tylenol

Tums are safe. Try a glass of cold milk too......that often helps!
