What do you think is going wrong in America today?
What do you think is going wrong in America today? What do you wish for? Please, be honest!
I know this question has been asked several times, but my reason is to see how many will tell the truth and really pay attention.

The inane sense of entitlement some have, combined with the politicians that pander to them. Self reliance is a thing of the past, as more and more people are reduced to suckling from the governments tit, eroding our "inalienable rights" to something we just read about occasionally and rely on figureheads to determine the scope and measure, or if they even pertain to todays society. I could go on, but that's enough for now.

I understand where you are coming from that there are a number of problems but at the same time there are so many other things that are great with the USA. You're right when you say that money does control us and that if we didn't have it we'd be pretty much screwed. I think that we do need to deal with our problems and find ways to solve them instead of asking why they are here. Which they are trying to find ways to overcome our problems when it comes to the price of gas and some of the other problems. I think that people need to acknowledge that there are problems and at the same time open our eyes to see the positive and what we do have that is right. As for the main language, I agree that English should be the main language, but as for religion there are too many different types of religions here to say that there is a main one. I do love this country and it does have a lot to offer. I was was just reading the additional comments and I think that the pledge should stay the same. It's been with the United States forever it seems and I don't think that should change.

I see allot of people put down ignorance as their primary response. Let me be the first one to say that IGNORANCE IS UNIVERSAL!!! It's the same everywhere. did you ever watch Jay Leno interview idiots on the streets of L.A.? He would ask them the simplest questions, and get responses that give most of us headaches. Over in England, Graham Norton would do the same thing, with the same results. In Hiroshima, the teenagers there had no idea what happened there, that ended WW2.
I think our problem is a lack of good leadership, a government who would defer leadership to corporations, who have other things, other then the country's welfare in mind, and the fact that the citizens would rather complain about it, then do something about it. Somewhere along the line, it became cool to dig up the negatives on this country, and ignore the positives. It makes the people who just concentrate on the negatives feel more intellectual. Ironically, this brings us full circle to the ignorance of this country.

A lot. Firstly, the blind allegiance to the president, who is just a puppet. Secondly, this drive for a global government and federalism has poisoned our congressman's and senators minds. It is a suicide agenda that should be abandoned!
Stupidity is a major problem. Lack of care in America is a colossal problem! Lack of love is a colossal problem. Lack of morals is a colossal problem. Lack of quality education is a major problem. Unwarranted, misplaced power in wrong hands is a continual, catastrophic problem!!! False religion is a major problem. I could go on and on.....
Materialism is a huge problem, it makes everyone greedy and want more!! More! More! I have to buy something just to fit in or to be better than someone else, I have to buy an expensive car.
Unsecured boarders is a problem and won't be fixed.
Americas ignorance of world affairs is a colossal problem and should be fixed immediately!
The idea of "competition without mercy", meaning you compete to the point of destroying another for the soul purpose of mocking them, (you weakling), and excelling above them(although their is nothing wrong with excelling above someone)and laughing in their face and saying: That's life!!!
Abandoning our values as a country, a colossal problem.
CEO's who rob a person/persons of thie inheritance or wealth and laugh about the check they just stuck in their, big, fat pocket!
Aristocrats who bend the will of the government to their own selfish interests.

I think we are at a higher level but haven't risen to the challenges. One person he brought up how we accept ignorant people. I just wasn't brought up with the skills to know what to say to people like that. We are challenged to communicate more clearly. When someone asks a question on her alot of times people will answer with works like : cause she's witch or he's a racist. I really want to understand their mind but all I can figure out is they are immature & uneducated....I think their are 2 kinds of people. People who believe that if everyone is happy they can be happy & the other kinds think that if everyone is miserable they will be higher up then them & feel better. So their are ones that believe in co-operation & those that believe in competition. The competitive ones do everything they can to stop the others even if they issue will actually help them. Unless they really wake up, the way Nancy Reagan did when she wanted stem-cells to help her Ronnie. If we all came together & saw the good we get from having a strong country & that faith bring intelligence solutions we could solve our problems but too many people live in fear. Too many people refuse to see how they are being ripped off by the people who are involved in brainwashing then about war or they just like to see all the problems cause it makes them feel better about themselves.

A lack of morality. People no longer have any kind of sense of right and wrong. America used to be a deeply religous country where everyone had a strong sense of Christian identity and values. These days though, you have CEOs who steal the company blind. Everyone is crooked or hypocritical. Look at Eliot Spitzer for example.

The citizens of America are loosing their rights, slowly and mainly by default, due to the mixed economy which has come out of altruism thus destroying capitalism.

Nothing, as time goes by things change, people hate change for the most part. Best you either learn to adapt to changes or perish.
