My nails are the same way, not as thin and I don't bite them, but they will crack or flake and bleed. Things you should try... First off, go to your Dr. Make sure you don't have some type of deficiency, I didn't. If you don't, you can try to get regular manicures, they don't cost much. If you have healthy cuticles and regularly stimulate the nail/bed it will promote stronger healthier nails. They will also put a clear coat of polish on which will protect your nails and seal the cracks helping the peeling and flaking (I know your a guy, but it will look better than how they look now I'm sure). Also, try using Eucerin lotion, most lotions only seal in moisture, but if you don't have enough then what's the point? Eucerin actually adds moisture to the skin (my Dr. Recommended it). You can also get nail/cuticle lotions/moisturizers (ask for a good one if you get a manicure). One other option, if you don't want to or can't afford to get manicures regularly is to get a polish called Nailtiques 2. Is formulated for soft, peeling nails and is awesome (they also have cuticle creams etc). The lotion and polish is sold at Walgreen's. I used both and they dramatically helped my nail issues, I'm just not good at the regular upkeep so I opted out for the sculptured nails. http://www.nailtiques.com/cat_polish.asp and http://www.eucerinus.com/

Don't feel bad, I have been biting my nails since I was little. It's a nervous habit and hard to break. I still to this day have yet to stop. My sister managed to stop biting hers by having acrylics put on. I tried that but ended up chewing off the acrylics plus layers of my own nails.

Go to a beauty supply store and ask them about nail biting. I know of a nail pollish that you can put on and it tastes gross. Also, maybe you are nervous and its something you do. Have you talked to your doctor about it? Also, try wearing gloves through the day or when you seem to do it more. Hope these things help!

There is a product called Thum. Its a liquid that you paint on your nails. It is very bitter and you will soon develop a negative association with biting your nails.

It may be bitter but its worth it to have nice nails.

you could do several things from the practical like wearing gloves, putting hot sauce, lemon juice, clear nail polish,or band-aids to cover each finger. to the desperate try hypnosis, positive affirmations, or breaking each finger. (which i really do not recommend.) i hope you take a very hands off approach to your problem. sincerely yours... thing. from the Addams family.

to speak at as quickly as is the suitable thank you to stop problems or with silence while he's at it, yet silence might desire to worsen issues as He might desire to do the comparable to you once you do something disgusting in front of him as chewing gum. in case you do not talk, you do not recieve not something in substitute. " Who asks, recieves".
