2 month old won't sleep?
My 2 month old son won't sleep!! I know he's tired because of how he's crying, but no matter what I do, it doesn't put him to sleep. I've tried rocking him, lightly bouncing him on my lap (he usually loves it but not tonight), nursing him to sleep... He hates being swaddled, and I'm running out of sanity VERY quickly. My car's out of gas, otherwise I'd take him for a ride, and Daddy's working midnights tonight! HELP!!!
Finally asleep... after an hour of rocking, bouncing, holding and carseat "rides". Thanks for all the help!

OHHH, my son use to do that...exhausted yet ??
My son hated being swaddled also, but he did love being walked. I probably walked MILES back and forth and slightly bouncing him until he fell asleep. I also loved music, try some classical, it may calm the baby and give you a sense of peace to deal with the crying.

Do you have a baby swing? That was really helpful to me when my kids just wouldn't sleep. I'd let them swing and fall asleep there, and fall asleep myself right next to them on the sofa until they woke for their next feeding. I have one where the seat leaned back comfortably, and you could swing them side-to-side.

Do you have a baby sling or other soft carrier?
Does he like being in the bathtub with you?
Try lying down with him in your arms, tummy to tummy; curl around him in a fetal position, make shhhing noises, pat his back, offer the breast...

a baby swing is a very useful thing to get the baby to sleep. a bath too could help.

It's possible he may be teething. Run your finger across his gums and feel for any bumps. Try giving him a cold cloth to chew on and see if that helps in stopping the crying. He also may be gassy. Just gently rub his tummy as that may help relieve it.
