It's very normal for the poop to slow down, and if it was just that one bit of blood and you've already been to the doctor, relax.

    Useful:

"What causes blood in baby's stool?"

    http://www.kellymom.com/babyconcerns/bloodystool.h...

"Some breastfed babies, after the first three to four weeks of life, may suddenly change their stool pattern from many each day, to one every three days or even less. Some babies have gone as long as 15 days or more without a bowel movement. As long as the baby is otherwise well, and the stool is the usual pasty or soft, yellow movement, this is not constipation and is of no concern. No treatment is necessary or desirable, because no treatment is necessary or desirable for something that is normal."

Some, not all, female babies do have a little blood in their stool, but as i understood, they have it within the first few weeks of life, but your daughter is 2 months so i would think its normal. I believe it has something to do with the mothers hormones or something like that.

I was expecting my daughter to have it, but she didn't.

As for the pooping i wouldn't worry about it. A baby can go a day or two without pooping. I was actually told be a dr. that an infant can go upto 10 days without pooping.

i do no longer incredibly understand what you're asking, yet placed youself in the babys place...might you opt to take a seat down in poop and pee for some hours? Probablly no longer. i alter my son everytime he pees. he's attending to the factor the place he will take it off himself whilst he is going...that would desire to aid you realize that he's uncomfortable whilst he's in a moist diaper and that would desire to easily be 5minutes max! toddlers additionally can get rashes and different infections in the event that they are of their diapers to long. Why do no longer you purchased to the shop get a relies upon pee and poop in it then take a seat there for 3 hours in it and tell me the form you sense!!!

I would try to get a second opinion. Blood in the stool is a warning sign that something is wrong. You have the right to be the 'crazy lady' when it concerns a two month old and when you have the feeling something is wrong.

It may have been a fissure or she may have developed an intolerance to milk (whatever kind she may be taking). It sounds like she is constipated which would explain the blood (a hard stool caused a little fissure to burst). Mix some prune juice in with her formula or give it to her seperatley

i would get a second opinion. blood in poo is not a good sign in any age. My daughter does not poo everyday sometimes she wont for 2 to 3 days MAX. health nurse says this is perfectly normal. as we dont always poo every day.

  • This must be your first baby, am I right? Please don't worry about it, the baby will poop when her body is ready to do so. You already saw a doctor and he said she was fine, what more do you need to hear? I bet in the middle of the night she will let one rip....don't worry, it's coming!

I wanted you to be rest assured that you are ok- and so is baby. Uber Poppins said it- and is correct on this.

    Good luck and congrats!
