Great Wolf Lodge in Pennsylvania?

If you've been to either, please tell me what you think of Great Wolf Lodge, either in the Poconos or in Lancaster, PA. I've read that both waterparks are great, but both hotels are awful. Thanks.

There is only one Great Wolf Lodge in PA, and thats in Scotrun, or the Pocono area. There are other GWL's across the country, too. I am going there for the 5th time May 4-8.

Who told you the hotels are awful? If its the price thats concerning you, try not booking on a popular weekend. The food is NOT expensive, and the place is a great deal.

Lets just say that you pay more for a hotdog in a ballpark than here.

I was looking at bad reviews, too, but those people only stay 1 day and dont get the feel. The evironment is nice, especially in the winter when it snows. If you have kids, make sure they're at least 5, or else it could get annoying.

I personally love the place, and the waterpark and rooms are clean. They have that distinct mountain feel and are kept in more-than-great order. The waterpark is clean, there are different sections and age areas, and everything is just soooo relaxing.

Dont listen to those bad reviews, some people are just nasty and want everywhere to be perfect or as perfect as their home. Remember, its someone elses place, and not everything will be EXACTLY how you want it.

Lastly, if you have never been there, there is a breat arcade, great waterpark, great service, great all day buffet, and great activities for all ages that they have. thats why its called GREAT Wolf Lodge!

They are also adding mini-golf and a BIG slide in summer 2008.

I love te hallways and floors with the nice animals and other designs, and the mountain-wood finish makes you feel like you're somewhere else and not right off a highway! :D

You are warned, though- when you walk in, the Lobby is bursting with happy people and animated animals and wood cabin style!

Book at least a 3-day stay to do everything!

If you are going there in the near future, have fun!

  • Both are good! I'd rather go to the Poconos though, since I live in Lancaster.
