Jeez it's driving me crazy! I don't even know why! There has to be, like, a scientifical term for it! Like, what is the name for that part of your hand that is on the opposite of your palm!? I need to know! I might die!!!!!!

Let's think about this for a moment, Techically, it's not the back of your hand. Your palms are the back of your hand whereas, the assumed Back of the hand is in fact, the Tops of your hand. Just because one wants to "Back Slap" somebody, doesn't necessarily mean that it's "The Back" of someone's hand. As far as the name goes, I give up ! I say "Tops".
