How can you believe in a loving God, and also believe in a devil ?

He didn't make a mistake. The devil was a fallen angel as many others have said before. The devil, like humans, had a choice. And the devil chose to become overwhelmed by his pride. It states in the Bible. The loving father allowed humans to have a choice. Heaven or Hell. He's letting us make the choice. The devil was probably allowed to live, in order to test us. Like in Job. Job was tested by God. God allowed Satan to test his faith. Job stood strong and was blessed with twice as much as he had before. How can God not be loving when he sent his son as a sacrifice? His ONLY son at that.

The devil was created, but chose to be against God. Wasn't he also an angel who rejected God? So, we must all choose what to believe and to follow. There is good in the world and bad. To me then there has to be a difference in good and evil.

i'm a working in the direction of Wiccan/Witch, and function been for the previous 25+ years. Wiccans have not got self assurance interior the devil, as this may well be a Christian fantasy. Wiccans, even however, do have self assurance in God/dess. Have a gorgeous relax of the day. shiny advantages.

I think a more pertinent question is, how can you believe in a loving God after taking an honest look at the world you inhabit? God loves everybody yet lets millions of innocent children go without nourishing food and clean drinking water. Give me a break.

I'm not religious but I'm pretty sure God didn't create the devil

Satan was an angel, who wanted to be powerful, so God punished him

Satan created himself, God just handed out the sentence

God did not make the Devil, He made Him self. God made the Angles, Lucifer, fell because of pride. He wanted to be God! God gave us the conditions of going to heaven, If we do not make it, it is our fault not God's. Child, do you mean children, when they die they go to heaven. A child of God choose to follow Him, if they have turned their back on God, yes they will burn, they choose to walk away.

they added to god both the quality of perfection and the prospect to make a mistake so as to "come closer/be more understandable" to average human thinking. for me a true-blue thinks of god as a perfect behaved human (one that he can also become) with extra power (aw well).

P.S. don't ask who "they" is. personal estimation: they did a great job.

Good & evil. One can not exist without the other. Yen & yang. Lucifer does not cease to exist just becuse you ignore him & focus on God. The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was to convince everyone he doesn't exist.

Human invented concepts sometimes do not make sense and are funny most of the time.

Example, Superman is a good example of illogical ideas.

My contact that I chose for a reason, I just love everybody that allows me to and count on my faith. I don't judge and love all beliefs the same as long as they don't belittle mine. My religion chooses to believe if asked for forgiveness and truly mean it , you don't go to hell. Bring on the questions I'm a night owl too.
