Absentee ballots in the US?

I'll be moving out of the US this summer which means I won't be here to vote in November, but I'll still be a citizen and as such, I'd still like to vote. Does anyone know how I can do this and what the procedure is?

When you relocate, you can register to vote in the county court house of the county where you live. You will need proof of citizenship and proof that you are a resident.

It depends on the state you live in. I was unfortunate and have to come back from Britian to vote. Which I will do. Alot of the time is up on applying for an absentee ballot.

Apparantly you are supposed to know this a year and a half ahead of time.

    I think that is bad.

Go to the board of election and ask for a absentee ballot.

    Hope this helps.

Call your local Elections office and tell them you will be out of country and they can guide you in the right direction.
