Not all games require you to install the game, but some games do such as Devil May Cry 4 and Lost Planet on the PS3. The partial game install onto the hard drive makes load times shorter and it probably has other benefits as well and you can delete them any time you want because it's not permanantly installed.

Games made by Capcom (Lost Planet, Devil May Cry 4) require that you load data to your PS3. THis actually is a very awesome thing because there is virtually no loading time while you are playing!!! I have DMC 4 and Lost Planet and there is virtually no loading.

As for games you buy off PSN (Pixel Junk Monsters, Rocketman, Calling all Cars, etc) they are relatively small and don't take up a lot of space.

You can delete any game data by going to the GAME SAVE DATA section of your XMB and deleting it by pressing triangle.

    Hope that helped.

Unless you download a game from the PSN, no you dont need to install it. Other than game save, you're good to go. As for this 360 piece of Manure, get the hell outta here kid. Go pop your pimples in the olympics or get a life.

Not unless the PS3 says it.
