OK Torrent Downloading methods......?

Well....i usually download from torrents from my work place.....i have a machine that does not have a direct connection to the internet, but when i set the ip address, the subnet address and the default gateway, i deleted both DNS addresses....default AND alternative...i could still download torrents even though i have NO CONNECTION TO THE INTERNET (machine in a network)......

what i want to know is......is it possible to get torrent downloads effectively from such a environment and will it go through my ISP?....i.e will IT add to the bill/bandwith speed?

Does your company's ISP charge for date usage or is it a flat monthly rate? I would strongly reccomend against using bittorrent in a work environment unless it is a small company where your boss doesn't care,

If you're downloading stuff, then you are connected to the internet) I'm not sure of your setup, in a Window NT network the server is probably reassigning your IP address and reconnecting you.

Torrents allow you to pause and restart downloads, continue downloads across different computers. In terms of being tracked, torrents are watched more actively than direct download sites (in NZ anyway) You can be tracked wherever you download. You have more of a chance being caught if you downlaod more often, but the risk is still there. In terms of free and legal..... uuhhh... No. I think crunchyroll and Zune give you a free trial
