how soon can a prego test determine if your prego or not?

I took 5 pregnancy tests within a week and all came out negative i also had an ultrasound done and nothing was found(which you have to be at least 5 weeks for an ultra sound to detect), then my doc told me to wait a week and take another one a week later. So i did, on thursday april 3rd, which had a very faint positive line, but could still be seen. had a blood test next day and said my hcg level was 24, the doctor said that i was only like 5 days pregnant. Which didnt make any sense to me. Is that too soon to show on a test?

5 days is definitely too early for a urine test.  The hcg levels may be lower than normal which would make your doc think you were only 5 days pg.  Time will tell.  When you do have another ultrasound, they can tell by the measurements how far along you are.

i did 5 home pregnancy test and all come back neg aswel, your not alone on this one. i waited 2 weeks and got a blood test done and it turns out that i was pregnant and i was 8 weeks along. i had low hcg levels and maybe you have the same too and thats why all your home pregnancy tests are neg but your pregnant because your hcg levels aint strong enough yet to pick up your pregnant through your urine. just wait 2 weeks and get a blood test done, thats the best way which will come up and also saves money lol. good luck and congrats,

Yes it is too soon to show on an at home pregnancy test. it takes about two weeks for accurate results,shometimes even later. Like first responce tests measure the earliest amount of pregnancy hormone. But if the doc says your pregnant,you are. good luck
