Why is obama so afraid of a re-vote in MI?

I live outside of Detroit and it is on the news almost daily. Obama wil NOT agree to a revote. He is worried about Hillary's win here and in Fl being counted.

Update:

obama wants to split the delegates, he who" wants to impower the people and change". but only if it is good for HIM

He is afraid becuase Hillary already won here.

Update 2:

"M" he took his name........ "off the ballot"

Update 3:

THEY the DNC is at fault for allowing us [the people to waste our time voting] when they screwed up. I think I will become an independent.

You are exactly right Joyce. It is a great injustice to not let Michigan votes count . Michigan is a state who has suffered economicaly more than any other state. Being in Indiana I will support my Michigan neighbors. If the votes aren't counted I will vote republican for the first time in my life.

I'm missing something. FL & Mi announced they were moving their primary dates. The DNC said, " No, don't do that. If you do, you will be punished". MI & FL ignored that piece of advice.

All Dem candidates were told to take their names off the ballots. They couldn't in FL because in that state it would affect the general election in November. They were told to stay out of Florida. Hillary went anyway for a fundraiser. Obama and Edwards did what the DNC instructed and removed their names and stayed away. Hillary , who makes her own rules, did not comply and is now whining about it. You can just bet if she was ahead right now, Michigan and Florida voters wouldn't mean a thing to her.

This is not about Obama. This is about the state of Michigan not wanting to spend millions on another primary. MI thinks the DNC should pay.... and the DNC has said "No.. and don't ask again."

    This is a non-issue.

Hillary signed a pledge and now that those votes matter, she cares. If I were a supporter of hers in Michigan, what would tick me off is that she first said "those votes are worthless/meaningless." The ONLY reason she kept her name on the ballot in Michigan was because of the election in November--to have her name there for the general election.

I'm a Florida voter and support Obama. And, let's be honest, if those states were "Obama states," she wouldn't have said a word about counting those. Every vote counts? Apparently, only if they're for Hillary Clinton.

Why should the people of Michigan have to pay for another election? Or even the Dem party having to come up with the money to pay for it. Nonsense! Obama is simply wanting to go forward, not back up. As he put it, "Why change the rules in the middle of the game?"

I live in MI too, and am not hearing much about it. Did, for a little while, but that's all water under the bridge.

Really, I doubt that Obama's very worried over Hillary. He has no reason to worry. She's doing a really good job of ruining her own campaign with her stories, and her "misspeaking".

Obama said that the DNC would make the decision and that if it is fair, he did not mind a revote...don't forget Mi and Fl are both in comtempt of the laws that the party and the candidates agreed upon...so why do people not remember that!! Turn the tables and ask yourself why Hillary is insisting on a vote

Screw that dude. In this situation Obama is right. MI and FL should NOT get revotes, they don't deserve it.

They knew they were breaking the rules when they held their early election and knew that it would cost them their delegates, but they did it anyways. Actually Clinton and Obama both agreed not to participate in the elections for that reason. Obama stayed true to his word but Clinton decided she wanted to be on the ballot anyways so SHE broke the rules. Obama is the only one who didn't do anything wrong in that situation.

No, he is not afraid of a re-vote. His name was not on the ballot in Michigan. At first Hillary agreed that Michigan and Florida should be penalized because you guys refused to follow the rules just like everyone else agreed. At that time she was the front runner and didn't need you, your vote at first meant nothing to her.

Only after Obama started beating her butt did she start crying about Michigan and Florida. Obama is not worried if Hillary wins in Michigan or Florida because he'd still be the front-runner you must not realize how far he is ahead of Hillary. Next time tell your politicians or whoever to stick to the rules and then you won't have this problem. Sorry:(

    Michigan had its vote.

    Period.

No candidate-Dem or rep or indep can be allowed to let people vote over-regardless of the supposed reason.

It is the way we have held elections for hundreds of years. O-man may be new to the game, but the politicking game is old as the hills.

SOL. That's what I'd tell any of them.

Obama has lost the nomination and he knows it. He is just trying to save a little face. Nothing more.

Because he knows he will lose and possibly lose the narrow lead he has in the popular vote.

He's not. There isn't going to be one. If there HAD been one, Hillary would probably have won it. She picked up 55.4% of the vote in the 'dodgy' Mi primary.
