Why is that Arabs can become citizens of Israel whilst the Israelis and Jews can't be citizens in Arab .....
.... and Muslim countries?
Arabs in Israel are called the Arab-Israelis and they are over a million of them. Because of them Arabic became the 2nd official language in Israel along with Hebrew, English and Russian. So if they can live in Israel, why can't the Israelis live in Arab countries?
The Mizrachi Jews from Arab countries are considered Israelis. Whoever answer this question by saying all Arab-Israelis are Jews from Arab countries is not all true. Go and search in flickr.com and type Arab-Israelis. You'll find lots of Arab-Israeli women in burqa or veil. That's what Moslem women wear. I don't think Mizrachi Jewish women would wear that.

For two main reasons, neither having to do with Apartheid: (QUICK NOTE: Druze Arabs are drafted into the IDF, so your claim isn't entirely accurate.) -Firstly, this way, Israeli Arabs are not forced into situations where they may have to fight, and even kill, their Arab cousins. -Secondly, despite being Israeli citizens, many Arab-Israelis are hostile to the country, and wouldn't hesitate to turn over information they learn from the IDF to its enemies (tactics, training, troop positions, etc.) However, if they so choose, Arabs can serve, though they are not legally compelled. Often however, Arabs who do join the IDF are harassed by their fellow Arabs and therefore choose to remain anonymous when giving interviews, etc. I'm not quite sure what about this system suggests that Israel is an Apartheid country.

Because Israel is a democracy, while many of the arab countries are not. As being a democracy, Israel gives equality to all people, without difference of religion, race, or gender.
On the other hand, some of the arab countries will not accept Israelis, or even jews just because their religion, the same way women are sometimes treated there.

Firstly, that isn't quite true. Syria- possibley the worst enemy Israel's ever had- has a population of roughly 10,000 Jews (Semetic Jews- not European or American Jews whose genetic makeup has been altered by intermarrige- not that I'm putting down intermarrige).
The real issue isn't with the Jews, it's with the Israelies.

Jasmine,
Perhaps one day when all the political and territorial issues get sorted out and a few decades pass, Jewish people might be able to live in Arab countries.
I know there are still a few Jewish people living in Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Tunis, Algeria and Morocco.
Sincerely,
Ms. Miche ; })

As I understand it there are Jewish populations in many of the Arab countries. (including those officially known as islamic states) They may not take new ones from other countries, but the ones already there or born there are considered citizens.

There are Jews in Muslim/Arab countries however they are often ill treated and when it was possible, made Aliyah to Israel. Iran has about 20,000.Turkey has about 17,000 and to the best of my knowledge live quite comfortably in Turkey.
Except for Turkey (and I cannot speak from experience as I have never lived there) Jews are often considered second class citizens.
Israel does allow Arabs to become citizens and those who were in Israel in 1948 were granted citizenship automatically.
I suppose it has more to do with quality of life. A Jew in Iran or Iraq (even before the US invaded) would have not had the quality of life an Arab/Muslim in Israel has/had.
It is a double standard.

And this question is suppose to prove that Israel is a Democracy ? LOL
Arabs and Muslims and Christians have no problems with Jews Yet there are many Jews who are accepted in Arab countries and live there as native people !
But Arabs and Muslims and even Christians do have problem with Zionists and with current Israel state and any Israeli is not and should never be welcomed unless he is not Israel suporter !!! Because all what Arabs have seen from Zionists is land steeling so why would anyone bring a thief into his land ?
History is the wittness that Muslims and Jews lived together in peace during the Islamic rule
http://www.harunyahya.com/articles/70people_of_the...
And dont forget the golden age of Jews in Spain during Islamic rule...

The whole thing has changed in 1917 ! And now in almost every Arabic country there are big number of Palestinian refugees who were kicked out from their lands and live with lack of basic life needs some are even homeless and refugees are in Millions ! So what kind of Democracy is that ?
So it is like i steal your house , kick out your familly , and keep the minority of them in that house under my rules...
Let us please move to another pont...
Paper... Zionist girl :
driven out of THEIR HOMES??? PLEASE !!! Now you going to tell me homes that God gave to them bla bla bla...
Let us go back to 1920 ; who started that " Intifada " ? It was that racist Israeli who insulted Islamic flag back then ! And Palestinians were aware of Zionist project (which is older than 1917)and which was covered by British occupation...
Now papergirl is faking the history , which is common thing between Zionists like you, And during Islamic rule Jews lived in peace and the only different was that they had to pay Jizya and Muslims had to pay Zaka , which in ammount of money is almost the same !
You failed to mention the great Muslim leader Omar bin Khatab who brought the Jews back to Palestine after Romanians kikced them out ...

When jewish palestinains decided to form its on state in 1948 some palastinians decided not to leave their homes but live under the isreali state they are called arab-isrealis. Also Isreal lets only jewish arabs become citizens not just any arab can become a citizen. Most likely arabs dont let isrealis in their country because they fear that they might be spys and/or their is still anti-semitism toward them in most countries.
