Shannon Inquiry: Police Arrest Mother, what a sad world, dont you agree.?

What a waste of tax payers money searching for a child that was never missing.

This was on the cards a couple of weeks ago, it appears that it was only just time, I mentioned this in a post last week that her mother was not out in the clear. So obviously Sannnon could trust nobody at all not even her 'parents', no wonder she ran away. What a desperate life for a nine year old girl.

What must the neighbours think now, they were so solid and together during the search for Shannon, they must feel devasted now and worst of all probably they feel that they were made fools of during their genuine concern for the little girl.

Let's really hope that she gets a good foster home and can get her life back together, while her so called 'family' rot somewhere.

I knew right from first seeing news coverage of Matthews and Meehan that there was something not right about either of them. We have seen hours of footage of Kate McCann and that is what a mother in hell looks like. She's gaunt, teary-eyed and worn down. Karen Matthews just looked scrubbed up and the whole physical thing between her and that creep Craig was so make-believe, play acting. Well, i don't suppose she will get what she deserves but i certainly hope those children do and that would be to be removed forever from her and given the chance to grow up with some loving parents in a clean, warm, happy home.

I agree!! What a sick world we live in. Here in Canada in a place called Merrit on Saturday a mother of 3 children under the age of 10 were murdered while the mother went to the corner store no longer then 10 minutes.She had left the children with a boyfriend or their father the cops aren't saying how he was connected to the children yet. When she returned she came flying out of her house screaming.The cops were called to find the grizzly seen.These kind of stories make me sick to my stomach.Why don't these bast@rds leave the kids alone. ♥

Yes it's unbelieveable - poor kids. At least they stand a chance of growing up with good care and morals now - and a paedophile has been caught in the process.

These people are so incredibly unintelligent - how on earth did they expect to get away with it, and if they were copying the McCann's to make some cash, how sad is that. The McCanns fund money is being used to find Madeleine, not fund an extravagant lifestyle. Stupid stupid people.

I agree, this lovely little girl is going to be damaged by this for the rest of her life - her family just saw her as a commodity to use to gain money. Basically she has lost all her family now, and will have to be brought up by foster parents or in a home.

The NSPPC states in their literature that 7 out of 10 child rapes are committed by fathers - that figure rises to nearly 9 out of 10 when you include other family members like brothers, uncles, grandparents etc - it makes you wonder why we are so scared of strangers abducting kids when in most cases it is the family causing the abuse. So much for the 'family' as the best place to bring up kids.

I think its just dispicable, my mum said this to me about 2 weeks ago and I said no way, no-one would do anything like that to their own child but it looks like she was right.

From day 1 of this enquiry i was never interested in it, not in the way I was with Madeleine McCann.

The Matthews and their entire family circle are the dreggs of society, I just hope they rot in hell for what they have done

The tax payers money that was wasted on a 'missing child', the well wishes from the public, the donations from kind hearted people, its just so sickening but honestly I am not suprised one bit, they are tramps the lot of them

Yes I do agree door. If it is true that Shannon's mum and family arranged her disappearance for money then they are despicable people who deserve everything they get. How could she do such a thing to her own child just to get money? Shannon and her siblings are better off away from this so-called family.

i dont know how they thought they could possibly get away with it,the depths that people will sink to exthort money.im glad that poor child is out of the clutches of those people,and lets hope the rest of those children are taken into care,so they can at least get a decent start in life

im not suprised that documentary was a real eye opener, will the mother be made to pay back all the cash she got from the newspapers she sold her story too, i wonder:) feel sorry for shannon,
