Should god punish children for their fathers' sins?

There is a prophetic statement told by prophet Muhammed and narrated by Bukhary where prophet Muhammad allowed his companions to KILL the children of his enemies saying that those children are from them (enemies).

Also, Islamic history tells that prophet Muhammed once killed a prisoner of war and when the prisoner begged him for mercy asking him what his children should do if he was killed, prophet Muhammed said they would go to HELL.

From all the above, can we say that prophet Muhammed used to punish small children for their father's sins?

    It would appear so.

If what you say is true then Muhammed has assumed rights and powers that belong only to God.

Just as present day Islam does.

    Hardly submission to God.

Have you considered that men pass their sins to their children?

But God says each will die for their own sins, and further He gives opportunity for repentance.

First of all you are talking about Muhammed did this and that not GOD Himself - so you aren't being very clear here.

Should God do anything is hardly OUR option or judgement to make. Sins of the Fathers often FALL upon their children and that is just human nature - not Godly judgment. We are a product of our Fathers and their forefathers before them. UNTIL one line in that ancestoral heritage BREAK the pattern set by the former - then we are, like it or not, what our forefathers set in motion for us to become or be. I think that is WHY the sins of the Fathers fall upon the children - NOT because God judged them too - but because by human nature we DECIDE it to be so.

    No NEVER!

that is not fair to the children that are innocent and did not commit any harm.

In the bible it says "the sins of the father shall not follow the son"

Muhammed and The Christian GOD are two different things.

Christians are more compassionate than MUSLEMS.

    Thats for sure.

Your refering to the old testament where God says unto the forth genoration children would be punished for their fathers sin. This ideal is confirmed in the New testament when they asked Jesus who sinned that this certain boy was blind.

Jesus said "No One, he is blind so that you may see the Glory of the lord"

Other verus that deal with father sin

A child should not die for his fathers sin. There are more but they slipped my mind. I would also say this was a command at a certain time, God stopped punishing us for our fathers sin because I think he wanted that as a deterant not to sin. Mankind just did not care and sinned anyway so the lord lifted his rath. Wee serve a just and merciful lord not a tyrant as some people paint him out to be.

The father's sins carry the awful consequences of sin down to the children. God doesn't have to do anything. According to Christian belief.

Both God and Allah, have the tendency to hold generations and descendants responsible for actions that they didn't commit. If you think about the origins of sin and suffering, all Abraham related religions adopt a generational punishment position. If Eve is responsible for utilizing free will to allow sin to enter the world, and children suffering with Spinal Meningitis are paying the price, then that is what your belief requires from you.

    Its immoral.
