College Algebra-Factor x^4-16=?
I am stuck on this problem for my review for College Algebra... I have tried over and over again, and I just cannot get a correct answer to problems like this...

Difference of two squares, hence (x^2-4)(x^2+4). But the first of these factors is also the difference of two squares, so the final result is (x-2)(x+2)(x^2+4).

The answer to your question is:
x = 2 or x = - 2
add 16 to both sides then take the 4th root of 16. using the positive and negative.

it is (x^2-4)^2
but even that is factorable
so you simplyfy it even more
(x-2), (x-2), (x+2) (x+2)
then u simplify, and then u get
(x-2)^2, (x+2)^2
i took the test yesterday, got a hundred!
