My refrigerator stopped working suddenly last night.....?

Does the refrigerator light turn on when you open the door? If so you have voltage at the outlet and to the refrigerator. You can troubleshoot by going to www.repairclinic.com and clicking on Repair Help at the top of the page.

Here are the two most comon problems and how to solve them:

Easiest thing to check for is current.

Plug a small appliance to the outlet where the fridge is plugged in (e.g. a lamp). If there isnt any power, then flip breaker back on (first fully to the left, then to the right).

Check the Relay.

The Second thing to do is to test the relay. This is the most comon thing that goes out in a fridge.

You will need a multimeter to test it.

Its a brand new kenmore refrig and it has always worked great... is there anything i can look for to try and figure out what might not be working? anything typical thats breaks often on a refrig? i dont have a warranty so thats not an option so dont go there!! thanks for the help

At least call the company up, and see if they have any ideas on what your problem might be. You could always take peak at the manual. Or as a last result hire somebody to come and fix it.

(p.s I would check to see if the power cord was bent or under stress or try un plugging it and then plugging it back in.

I had very simulair problem. I pulled it out to get ready to call repairman. I noticed it needed cleaning out back there also. So Im sweeping and see a long what I thought WAS a mop string. It was a tail of a dead mouse stuck in the fan. Got it out,,,grooos. plug in fridge and it has worked every since....TRUE story. *mamatx

I developed some hobbies. I took a night course at the local community college. (Some have great non-credit courses, such as flower arranging, pottery, etc. I started Scrapbooking, getting a picture album organized, organizing closets or cabinets in my home, sewing, crocheting, painting, listening to old music, reading some books, or watching television with popcorn and hot chocolate. I even started remodeling my kitchen, painting the cabinets, painting the walls, changing the hardware, cleaning the refrigerator and stove, and hanging new curtains and blinds. I redecorated my bedroom, and removed all pictures of him. I turned off my phone, so that I would not even wonder if he tried to call. I was on a mission to forget him.
