Many people have noticed that beans have a deleterious gastrointestinal effect, which often manifests in the form of gas. This tendency is so linked with beans that a popular children's rhyme references it, although beans bear an unfair portion of the reputation. Numerous other foods can also increase gas, such as other legumes, cauliflower, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, and onions. This is because of certain sugars in these foods which are difficult for your body to break down; beans cause gas often because they are particularly high in this sugar
The substance in beans which causes gas is oligosaccharide, a type of sugar which is not normally digestible by the human body. Beans cause gas when this sugar enters the large intestine, which hosts an abundance of bacteria. Since the sugar has not been broken down at earlier stages of the digestive process, these bacteria seize upon it as a source of nutrition, consuming it and quickly multiplying. The resulting gas is a byproduct of the digestive process of the bacteria.
Beans are also high in fiber, another substance which tends to increase gas. In addition, they are often combined with dairy products in burritos and other Mexican food; many people are familiar with the after effects of Mexican food, especially when it is hastily consumed. It appears that hasty consumption inhibits the abilities of your body to break down food, increasing the chance of gas. Stress can also contribute to the formation of gas

Ha ha ha ha........yes they do...I can show you if you want...we can make our own music...we could be a band.
You can be lead trumpette.
Try to blow a balloon up with bean gas and see what happens. We could fill our butane lighters with it.
The real purpose of bean gas is to put someones head under the covers and toot. Then look at the expression on their face when they come out for air. Ha ha ha ha.
Scientific studies have shown that bean gas was used by the monks to ferment wine giving it a distinked taste. In Guadalamara South America, rooms were built at the lower depths of the temples with a small tube leading to the top where the altar was. The slaves were locked in the rooms and fed Lima beans days before a ceramony. The priest would uncork the tube and light it during ceramonies giving off a distinked blue light. The people thought it was magic.
Never under estimate the power of beans. Someday we may be driving our cars under bean power.
We could heat our homes, provide electricity. We have to find a substitute for fossil fuels as they slowly dwindle away.
Imagine running an airbus on bean power...every passenger could contribute.
The possibilities are limitless. My Grandfather always said his made good paint remover.
Time for a glass of Monks Distinked Wine.

when your body digests baked beans, broccoli, cabbage and turnip (swede) to name but a few, methane gas is produced - which has to come out of your body - in a fart
