Some very sad news, Damilola Taylor's mother sadly passed away unexpectedly today?

Apparently she had a heart attack.

Mayor Ken says she will be sorely missed for her presence in London since her son was tragically murdered in Peckham - she has worked tirelessly around youth crime awareness.

A sad farewell to a brave woman . . .

what are your thoughts?

Update:

I actually used to live in Peckham and have heard her speak publicly la frogette - sorry.

Her grief for her son is now over.

She was a strong woman who, after the tragic loss of her son,put her grief aside to raise the awareness of the crime that took her son from her.

If she got through to only 1 person, made them stop and think before their actions, then her job was well done.

Wow, La Frogette - has someone cloned you? It doesn't sound like you or are you just having a bad day?

I never met her either but i too can remember her from the news when her son died and the good work she has done since. There are too few people like her who would stand up and be counted and i hope she rests in peace with Damilola.

Yes, what a shame. I don't know how you find the strength after losing a child in such a violent and senseless way, to campaign to try to prevent it happening to someone else's child. I know I would be in bits and completely unable to do what she did. She was a very brave and compassionate woman and I hope she's in a better place now with her son. May she rest in peace. And may the senseless idiots that killed her son never find peace.

Thats really sad for her family. It was such a shame the way that her son was brutally murdered like that, but to go on and help raise awareness for youth crime is brilliant.

Never met the woman but have heard of her over the years, I know lots of Nigerians who know her and she was a nice person always even before the nightmare that took away her son.

time of the month for la frogette me thinks, calm down love you'll give yourself a funny turn. it is a shame, a bloody shame there aren't more ppl prepared to put themselves out for their community especially having suffered the ultimate betrayal by that community - the murder of her son. i am sure she will be missed greatly by the ppl who loved her and whom she helped despite her own grief. xx

That is very sad news considering she was still young.

May she rest in peace with her son x

EDIT - Frogette. I decide who I give my sympathy to, not you -so keep your warty face out of my life and I will avoid the pit you live in. I have been to Peckham and I'm expressing sympathy not saying I have met her and I know people die every second of every day. I didn't think compassion was being rationed these days.

Frogette, why are you so angry? You said I bet they haven't even been to Peckham, so I said I had, then you rant about that too. I'm not obliged to do anything, I use free will. Who made you in charge of Sympathy, did I miss the election?
