55 gallon tank price?

Well walmart has them for around 170 to 180 bucks for a full 55 gal setup. If you live anywhere around an petshop called The ark they have the best deal going its 150 for everything and it is quality equipment. If not any of them find a Pet Supplies Plus and you could build your own setup for a decent deal around140 to 180 dollars depending on what brands you buy.

To tell you the truth its best to go to craigslist and buy a used one. I got a full setup for 60 dollars off there a week ago. Did a little cleaning and its a really nice tank now.

As other posters have said, you can get a setup from Walmart for around $180. It won't be long though until you are having problems with water quality and have to buy a better filter. It also doesn't come with any sort of aeration.

If you have nothing to put it on, you're going to need a stand, and they run around $150.

I just bought a used one on ebay that came with a nice cannister filter. It helped that the lady who had it previously also had my taste as for $300 I purchased everything, including the tank, stand, cannister filter, air pump and stuff for that, gravel, decorative plants, food, and fish. She easily had over $600 in the setup. It was a great deal. Perhaps you might consider looking there.

If you include the stand, filter(s), heater etc. It could be anywhere from 500 to 1000. yea expensive. I like to get my tanks from Big Al's cuz they are constantly having great deals. Like I'm looking at this one 46 gallon tank with the stand and a few supplies and it is around $300, soon to go less. :)

i got my 55 gallon tank (long,not tall) from walmart for about 250 to 260 dollars including the stand and its been running fine for a year so far

I would suggest Dr. Foster & Smith's Aquarium catalog. I order from them on occasions for their Dog products but I have ordered aquarium stuff back when I had a Blue Betta. Check them out and I'm sure you'll find what your looking for.

The one at Walmart near me is $170, that includes the filter and some food, and aquasafe.

find one on craigslist.org, you can find a complete set up wiht hood lights and filter for around 200$

They are VERY expensive! Buy a used one and clean it!
