The only time you give your password is to check if your friends from your address book are already in facebook. You can send mails to each of them and check, or the alternate way is to send them invitation to join facebook.

    Hope i answered your question

It is so they can have access to your address book in your email. The address book is protected and kept secure in your email. For example, you can't just go to a webpage and look at your friends address book, you need their password and sign on as if you are them.

Facebook will log on as you, check all the email addresses in your account, and see if any of those addresses match that of someone who has a facebook account.

they don't ask this! they haven't me anyhow... usually if they ask a very secure question there is a paragraph at the side explaining why they need this.

as far as i know they ask fo your email address which becomes your log in user name and then a password of your choice to log into facebook. NOT your email password.

while you're employing for a job that deals with protection or a central authority job i will see that. I even have not heard or study of the different communities that are doing it. I even have not heard of the google history so i will anticipate which you're making up the entire situation. i'm sorry, yet once you're attempting to get a job that deals with labeled ideas, it extremely is not any diverse then the FBI history searches.

You can have a differnt password on facebook, then your email password is, I do!

yeah, go ahead and give them your password. you're already giving them your full name, the full names of your friends (once you connect with them), a good amount of of personal tastes, and lots of other goodies to add to their database. this way they can track you and find ways of targetting better ads at you when you surf the web. nothing to worry about. it's well worth it, so you can "poke" people and fill out fun surveys.
