Can you put Revolution flea meds on a nursing cat?
MY cat had her kittens a little over a week ago.
She has gone outside to get some fresh air, as well as our other cat.
I noticed her scratching, I looked, but did not see anything, as it is hard because she is a long haired cat.
I am thinking of putting it on my other cat, who goes out all the time, to keep them away from him (spayed btw) and to keep them from getting onto my mom cat and her kittens.
But, I dont want her,if she has fleas, to give them to her babies,so I just feel like I should put the Revolution on ASAP.
Is it safe for a lactating cat to use it? I read it was, but I just want any other info I can get.
oh no! I would never give her up! She has had them before, when she had no kittens!
thats a typo, I love this cat to death!!!!!
Was supposed to be I dont want her to have them , sorry if people thought that was mean
er no, i dont want her ,if she has them.. to give them to her babies, as in I dont want her to pass them to her kittens..so I didnt make a typo, you read it wrong.

NO! Don't put any chemicals on either cat until the kittens are at least 10 weeks old.

NO!!! You should never de-flea a nursing female as it absorbs through the skin and through her milk, thus in effect poisoning the kittens. To say you dont want her if she has fleas is really harsh (soz if I offend) as its totally treatable, by all means do your other cat but not the female
