Publishing Program for MacBook?

I am new to Mac and love it. I used to use the old Microsoft Office Publisher for making newsletters, brochures, business cards, etc. and I there isn't a similar program in Microsoft Office for Mac. I know that Publisher wasn't the greatest program in the world, but it served my my purpose. Can anyone recommend a desktop publishing program for Mac that would do for Publisher does?

Thanks so much!

Update:

iLife came pre-installed on my Mac, but I don't have a clue how to use it for brochures, cards, newsletters, etc. Are those features included in an area of iLife that I just haven't explored?

I also had this problem even though publisher was a weak programe.

I would recommend you try out these programmes if you search them on google they all have 30 day trials so you can see if you like them

one is (microsoft word 08)get office 08 for $129 it is the new one and has pre designed themes built in so it spublisher built in to word

but obviously not the greatest programme

(adobe indesign) is a bit expensive and is more professional dosent have many themes but has simmilar layout to publisher

(swift publisher) is a very good prgramme just like bublisher but much better because its for mac its cheaper and has tons of images and designs

    hope this helps
