Toyota New Car Warranty Question-This Doesn't Seem Right?
Okay Toyota is arguing with me over my warranty. I did not buy the Road Side Assistance with my warranty last year when I cought my car.
This is a 2007 Corolla Sport-the transmission is completely gone. They refuse to tow unless it is at my expense since I did't my the road side. They say they only tow CERTIFIED USED VEHICLES for free. I feel that my car that I bought from them that has 12,000 mile son it that I paid damn good money for and is still under warranty should be towed by the, Do I have a leg to stand on here? It just doesn't seem right.
Actually I did buy it for a Toyota Dealership. They say they only tow Certified USED cars. Used being the key word-it is a 2007-bought it last May. Just seems they should back up their product by paying the tow bill for me.

Gotta read the fine print...they do not offer roadside assistance unless you purchase it. You did pay good darn money for it. But as with any purchase or contract...if you did not buy the option, they do not have to give you anything that you did not purchase. But the cost of the car should be covered by the 3 year 30,000 mile warranty.
If you ***** enough in front of other customers, the sales department may transfer money to the service department for towing, but that is totally a freebie that they would give to you, they would lose money since they would be pulling from thier budget. A reason why most people do not purchase the roadside assistance is that they have AAA; or their insurance company offers the service. If you have this service on your insurance you can have your car insurance pay for the towing. But in the world of fine print and contracts that we live in; things are unfortunately black and white.

All 07 Toyota's come with a 60k mile powertrain warranty new from the factory. I don't see why they wouldn't tow it and charge it to the manufacturer. The warranty stays with the car so it's 5 years or 60k miles from in service date. If it has only 12k miles and I'm sure it wasn't sold before 2006 you should have plenty of warranty. If the dealership is giving you crap call another one and see if they know what they're doing.
Also, I take it you didn't buy it from a Toyota dealer as it would probably be a certified car and include towing if you did. If you don't get a satifactory answer contact the manufacturer directly.
