How How How How?

In 1 Corinthians 3: 16 (James version)" Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the spirit of God dwells in you"

In the same 3:17 ' .........For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are' If we are the temple God and also Holy. How can we say are sinners? That means Holy temple of God is sin oriented.

In the book Learn to Live (Volume I) by Swami Jagadatmananda - Swami Vivekananda says " It is the greatest sin to believe that one is a weakling and sinner. we are all children of God , that we are all his parts and we share with Him .'

In bible refered above and Vivakanandas saying above giving same meaning, then, How can We be the sinners, when we are the temple of God.

    First:

Do not rely solely on one Bible translation, especially if it is the KJV.

It is advantageous to have a variety of translations.

    Second:

We are all sinners. The same fellow who wrote 1 Corinthians 3, also wrote Romans 3:23.

So, either he contradicted himself , or one of those two scriptures is misunderstood.

On the assumption he did not contradict himself, let it be said that while on earth, those forming the 'temple' do not form it immediately. They will be established as that temple once in heaven. 1 Peter 1: 3-6 says as much:

"He gave us a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus, to an incorruptible and undefiled and unfading inheritance. It is reserved in the heavens for you.

In the meantime, while waiting, they are not sinless.

The bible says he that is born of God does NOT commit sin Or willfully sin, Now as of right now the only thing that has been redeemed is the soul, this body has not yet been redeemed, But to be forgiven & santified in God, give us the promise of receiving the Holy Ghost Read Acts 2:38-47 That Holy Ghost is our seal that God has accepted us. Man always say we are sinners, How wrong can they be, Yes at one time we all were sinners, But once you are saved, then your sinning days are over, for we have to work on our perfection Eph. 4:11-17 WE are sinners saved by grace, does not mean we still are sinners, But that one day we were all born into sin, but by the blood of Jesus Christ we are no longer a sinner.

First you are try to tie two different things together. The Bible can not support another book of learn to live. The BIBLE state that all have sinned and fallen short of GOD.

In 1 Corinthians 3:16 it is talking about the believer in CHRIST JESUS not everyone. The Bible says that not all will be saved.

We are all Gods creation , when one becomes born again then he is a child of God . We have a brand new resurrected soul that wants to do the will of God but live in a human body that wants to sin.We have to pray a lot for God to give us the power to over come that desire to sin and do Gods will.

The verse in Corinthians means that you are Gods creation not your own, the context is that you should respect you body and not defile it, that God, his holy spirit may dwell within you.

Swami doesn't know what he is talking about, sin and God.

My son, the bible was written by scribes 400 years after the so called Christ died on the cross! They knew as much as you know! and that was the old testament! The new King James version well! so how can you believe such blatant rubbish? Also if Christ did arise after his death, then why did he disappear from his followers and was never seen again?

"ow can We be the sinners, when we are the temple of God."

The body is the TEMPLE of GOD. It is up to the person to keep it Holy or to defile it.

    As Jesus said:

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Let Him in and He will sanctify your temple.

    Praise the Lord!

We can be both. That depends on your definition of who is "i".

If you identify "i" with the body all the sins apply.

If you identify "i" with soul or "I" then you are one with the supreme and no sin attaches to you.
