Does Senator McCain's relationship with people like John Hagee and George Wallace Jr. make you angry?

John Hagee is on record for bigotry against the Catholic Church, and claiming that natural disasters that happen in America are nothing but God's Judgement and wrath against America.

George Wallace Jr. is known for espousing and engaging in public speaking before White Supremist Organizations.

I find this situation to be very Un- American, and Anti-Patriotic!

What about you?

I find it ironic that McCain talked trash about Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell, but is now cosying up to John Hagee and other right-wing nuts with lots of followers: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/08/us/politics/08ha...

John Hagee has millions of right-wing followers, so McCain doesn't mind some of Hagee's bizarre ideas, plus Hagee is a white Christian, and they can say what they want, without being called racist:

-He accused the Catholic of joining with Hitler in “a conspiracy to exterminate the Jews.”

-He argued that “Hurricane Katrina was, in fact, the judgment of God against the city of New Orleans.”

Rod Parsley, whom McCain has called a “spiritual guide” has in the past said all sorts of wonderful loving christian things, but it's a-ok since he's a white guy, too, plus there's no way he could be racist or violent:

    -advocated criminal prosecution of adulterers.

-compared Planned Parenthood to the Nazis.

-declared “I came to incite a riot! Man your battle stations! Ready your weapons! Lock and load!” at a “War on Christians” conference.

-urged voters to “let the Reformation begin! Shout it like you’re going to carry the blood-stained banner of the cross of Christ the length and breadth of the Buckeye State!” at a political rally.

McCain has flip-flopped on his dislike of right-wingers, now that he has a chance for the big chair.

John Hagee replaced into on no account McCain's pastor. He in simple terms surpassed off to grant McCain an endorsement and that replaced into till now McCain found out what the guy replaced into all approximately. Obama knew what Jeremiah Wright replaced into all approximately for an prolonged time - he sat in his church for 2 many years as a unswerving parishoner. Oprah did no longer even final 2 years in the comparable place.

McSame has taken pandering to new heights with his seeking the endorsement of John Hagee, who is a hate-spewing, ignorant homophobe of the worst kind. George Wallace, Jr.'s views reflect the old adage that the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree. If he condones the opinions of his late father, McSame should be ashamed.

i don't like mccain, but i think it's just opportunism on his part. there are lots better things about him to attack than his associations with characters like wallace and hagee. take a look at all the lobbyists that mr. integrity has on staff, or his flip-flop voting record whenever he gets mad at bush, his insane temper and the fact that most of "his" supposed legislative accomplishments were usually instigated by others and mccain just latches onto them and then hogs the credit.

Ummm....I know George Wallace Jr. and he is "known" for no such thing! You are likely refering to his speech before the CofCC and Wallace personally told me that he had no idea who the group was other than they were a "conservative" group and it was a paid speaking engagement. What worries me about McCainiac is that he is a Warmongering Statist.

No. Now if this were Obama then heck yea.

Its OK for McCain to associate with anyone he chooses. It is also OK for McCain to marry the mistress that he had an affair with on his devoted 1st wife.

Now if Obama does the same thing, we must prevent his evil from spreading.

    Lol, typical Neocon double standards.

    Remember:

    War is Peace

    Freedom is Slavery

    Ignorance is Strength

Only if McCain is a black man does it matter.

Of course they are nuts, but McCain doesn't have a personal, close relationship or isn't "friendly" with either one unlike the Rev and William Ayers....nice try though....

Anger is a waste of time. It invades the domain of human reason and pillages our sense of selflessness.
