How many of you out there really believe that "God" will condemn people to Hell for not believing in him?

As long as they don't call upon the protection of a true god, such as Zeus or Odin, their souls will be food for me for all eternity.

  • Well, let's say that for the sake of debate we call "Hell" 'separation from God'- let's forget for the moment it's other descriptions. If someone rejects God or simply does not believe in Him, they have separated themselves from God, haven't they?

So it is not God that has condemned them, they have made their own choice and HE chooses to honor it. As a only true gentleman would do.

As I see at least one Christian supporting the notion, I will haul out this quote yet again:

"Is it not frightfully unfair that this new life should be confined to people who have heard of Christ and been able to believe in Him? But the truth is God has not told us what His arrangements about the other people are. We do know that no man can be saved except through Christ; we do not know that only those who know Him can be saved through Him."

Since there is no proof of God, those who believe do so because they have faith. If there is a God, a Creator, I doubt very much that he would condemn any of creating including human beings.

If there really is a god then he already knows I won't believe in him before I am even born. Why would an all knowing and all powerful god create someone he knows will not believe in him and why would he even care if I do.

God loves you but don't eat meat on Friday or he'll burn you for eternity.

A LOT of people do. I even asked them about it a couple weeks ago, and they unapologetically admitted it, even though I pointed out what a ridiculous concept it was.

Think about it... "god" does everything in his power to appear not to exist. It's not obvious that he exists, in fact it's quite the opposite. He wants people to WANT to believe he exists. Anyone who doesn't ignore their reasonable senses, by which they judge everything they consider to be reality, and refuses to believe something that is completely unbelievable... deserves to be punished eternally in hell.

They don't see how silly this is. God apparently is an intergalactic prankster, playing hide and seek with humans, and doing a damn good job of it.

To quote Bill Hicks... "Let's see these ******* believe in me now... hahahahahaha!!!"

It's not about going to hell for not believing in Him. It's about not having your sin problem resolved.

Jesus paid the price - take the pardon or be judged by the law.
